Already A Changing Year
2016 has already started with changes, but, I couldn't have expected any less, really! My job has moved from a very temporary position to now permanent! Let's just take a moment and take a HUGE sigh of relief ***SIGH!***
The second major change being, I've gotten glasses. Is it weird that I'm actually excited about this?? But I'm also very apprehensive, as, well, it's something different affecting my vision, granted my prescription, if very small, but still necessary to get them. Getting glasses in 2016 is very different from needing glasses say, back in the 80's or such, when styles we're very limited and the label NERD was a bad thing. Heck, I am a nerd, I wear the title with much pride. I'm looking forward to picking out a pair of glasses with color and Character to go with my purple hair, gauged ears and punk like personality.
Other changes in my life, are really just continuations of previous events. The beginning of our 5th month of marriage, still considered to newly weds to most, however, if feels like much more time has gone by, in a good way, I promise. The sudden urge to kill each other hasn't kicked in, but I'll give it time... (if you haven't figured out that was a joke... We can't be friends)
Oddly, I am in a very good mood. While life is changing, I am hopeful I can reach my goals. All in all, I feel supported and protected in this moment. Can I explain why? No, not really. I know that personally, spiritually, there's a lot in me that still needs mending. However, I believe I am surrounded by a very supportive group of people. From transforming my physical self and the transformation of my spiritual self.
I hope this year, is a positive year, praying for rebirth, transformation, and looking on situations not out of fear, but instead in anticipation and peace. Well, to sound completely cliche, let's reign in the new year with Gladness!
